Sukeshi Patel Arora, MD

Dr. Sukeshi P. Arora is currently the Leader of GI Medical Oncology and Geriatric Oncology at Mays Cancer Center, and Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Texas Health San Antonio. She received her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and completed Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at University of Texas Health San Antonio. She serves as the Chair of the Commission on Cancer at University Health System, San Antonio, and she chairs the GI Research Clinical Disease Site Team at Mays Cancer Center. She also serves on the Board of Young International Society of Geriatric Oncology (Young SIOG). Her research activities include drug development in GI malignancies, with a focus on liver cancer, as well as drug development in older adults with GI cancers.

Sherri Rauenzahn Cervantez, MD

Dr. Sherri Cervantez is a faculty member at UT Health San Antonio with joint appointment to the Division of Hematology and Oncology and the Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Medicine. She earned her B.S. in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University. She received her medical doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her residency in internal medicine at West Virginia University. She completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University prior to completing her hematology and oncology fellowship at UT Health San Antonio. She joined UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2017 as Director of Palliative Oncology. Her clinical interests include lung cancers, head and neck cancers, and palliative oncology.
