Dr. Caprice Knapp, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Outcomes and Policy within the College of Medicine and a faculty member of the Institute for Child Health Policy at the University of Florida.
Dr. Knapp is an applied economist whose areas of specialization include examining the quality of care and expenditure patterns for children and adolescents in vulnerable populations. Specifically, Dr. Knapp’s research investigates health care delivery and outcomes for children with chronic or life-limiting conditions. Dr. Knapp is the PI on two statewide projects to evaluate Florida’s Title V. program for children with special health care needs and the quality of care delivered to children enrolled in Florida’s Healthy Kids program. Additionally, Dr. Knapp is the PI for Florida’s CHIPRA Demonstration Grant- Parts A and C. Dr. Knapp has a courtesy appointment in the Department of Economics.
Dr. Knapp specialized in survey design and analysis, statistical analyses of expenditures and health outcomes, qualitative surveying of children with special health care needs, and program evaluation.
