Bárbara Antunes, MSc

Dr. Antunes is a Clinical Psychology and Health Specialist. She has always integrated clinical work with research posts. In 2008 joined the Portuguese research centre Centro de Estudos e Investigação em Saúde of University of Coimbra (CEISUC) and in the following year joined the PRISMA project led by King’s College London, Cicely Saunders Institute. In 2011 she was awarded a Marie Curie fellowship for the EU funded EUROIMPACT project which ended in Jan 2014.
Currently Bárbara Antunes is a visiting research associate at the Cicely Saunders Institute and completing the PhD programme Health Services and Clinical Research at the School of Medicine of University of Porto, Portugal. Her work is about improving outcome measurement for advanced disease patients and their families by enhancing the clinical utility of patient-centered outcome measures and understanding how to best implement them in clinical practice.
She is also a founding member of the Portuguese College of Psychologists.
