Since April 2012, Dr. Smith had been working on the preparation of a comprehensive book on palliative medicine as a valuable guidebook for both academic and clinical education. Collaborating with the most excellent experts in the field co-authoring the book, great progress had been made in 2013 together with Dr. Julie G. Pilitsis as the co-editors.
